We sometimes ask for something big and when it happens we're too surprised to remember to say "Thanks."
Yesterday, TransCanada announced that it’s withdrawing its application to build the Energy East tar sands pipeline because the project would need to pass a climate test. The proposal for the largest tar sands pipeline ever is dead.

Many of you wrote to the PM about the Tar Sands, and closing it down for the sake of our planet's future, and here it is, a major step on the way.

It may not seem a big thing, but writing the PM and the Environment and Natural Resources Ministers to say thanks for apparently standing by climate testing for developments is a good thing.

"Ask, and you shall receive, and when you receive, say thanks."
